If you have tried iron before and given up because of constipation or nausea, it was almost certainly ferrous sulphate. Iron bisglycinate is much better tolerated, which is exactly why this product exists. A few practical points that genuinely change how well it works: tea, coffee and calcium all substantially reduce iron absorption, so leave an hour or two either side, and iron also reduces absorption of levothyroxine and some antibiotics, so those need at least two hours. Your stools will darken, which is harmless. The most important point is not to take iron indefinitely without knowing your levels, because too much iron is not harmless either.
