Revive Active Iron Complex

£20.00

Revive Active Iron Complex is a daily iron supplement with 8 active ingredients formulated to help maintain optimum iron levels and support red blood cell formation. It features two gentle and highly absorbable forms of iron, Iron Bisglycinate and Wholefood Iron from germinated buckwheat, alongside Vitamin C, Copper, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B6, Folate and Vitamin B12 at therapeutic dosages.

Iron contributes to normal formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin, normal oxygen transport in the body, normal energy-yielding metabolism, and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Vitamin C increases iron absorption. Copper contributes to normal iron transport in the body. Vitamin B12 and Folate contribute to normal red blood cell formation.

Revive Active is an award-winning Irish supplement brand founded in 2010, formulating research-backed doses across a range of daily super supplements.

Designed for:

  • Adults who have found standard iron tablets difficult to tolerate

  • People following a vegetarian or vegan diet, where iron intake needs more attention

  • Anyone aged 14 and over, including during pregnancy

Take 1 capsule daily with food, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner. Each bottle contains 30 capsules (a 30-day supply).

Suitable for vegans. Manufactured in an environment that handles soya and fish.

A note from our pharmacy team:

Most people who tell us they cannot tolerate iron have been taking ferrous sulphate, which is cheap, poorly absorbed, and the usual cause of the constipation and nausea they describe. Iron bisglycinate is much gentler and is the form we tend to suggest for anyone who has struggled before. A few practical points that genuinely change how well it works: tea, coffee and calcium all significantly reduce iron absorption, so leave a couple of hours either side, and iron also reduces the absorption of levothyroxine and some antibiotics, so those need spacing too. Your stools will darken, which is harmless and expected. The most important point though is not to take iron long term on a hunch. If you think you might be low, get tested, because taking iron you do not need is not harmless either. We offer a rapid in-pharmacy ferritin test and full lab iron studies, so pop in and we will get you an actual answer.
